The Church of Christ in Fogelsville

What to Bring

You bring you. You be you. There is no need to put on a face with us. You do not have to impress us. Bring your strengths, your weaknesses, your faith, your lack of faith, your doubts, and your questions. We’re interested in who you are! If you have a Bible, bring that along too! Every lesson we teach is anchored in God’s Word; and, we are happy to have you double-check everything we say.

Some of us dress up, others do not. Wear what feels comfortable for you. God cares far more about your heart than He does how fancy your clothing is. We hope you come with a heart looking for answers, and a soul looking for spiritual fulfillment. God wants the best for you, and so do we. We want to be a conduit for His love in your life.

What to Expect

All of our gatherings revolve around our faith in Jesus. When we gather there are prayers, songs, spiritual lessons, and even a time to socialize. Our purpose is to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18, ESV).

On Sunday mornings: we first have Bible class. This is a time to listen, but also ask questions about the topic being discussed. No question is off limits. There are both adult and children’s classes available. After Bible class, there is a brief break period; and, then we all gather together for another hour of worship. During this hour, there is congregational singing, prayers, the Lord’s Supper, an offering, and a sermon from God’s Word. Partaking of the Lord’s Supper, and giving money in the offering are both things that you are welcome to participate in as a visitor, but we do not demand or expect it! We are not here for your money! We are far more interested in your spiritual well-being than we are your wallet.

On Sunday evenings: we gather again to sing, pray, and listen to another sermon from God’s Word. If you missed the morning worship service, you will have the option of being served the Lord’s Supper, and also have an opportunity to give towards the offering if you so choose.

On Wednesday evenings: we sing, pray, and have another Bible class where discussion and questions are welcome. The adult class is currently studying Deuteronomy.
